What is the CORE Upgrade?
It’s time to upgrade our computer systems to better serve you with robust, streamlined operations. This upgrade intermingles with every transaction and customer experience interaction we have. In a word, it’s the core of everything we do.
Some Of The Upgrades Coming Your Way…
- Centralized hub to control and access your debit card
- Instant digital issuance – once you open an account, you have access to a debit card immediately through your phone
- Continue using existing checks to pay for goods and services
- New branch equipment that adds an extra layer of security and immediately uploads information into our database
Conversion Weekend
As we head into the final days before our core computer system transition, we need to temporarily suspend some services the weekend before we go live.
Starting on Thursday, April 25, around 7pm, debit and credit card transactions will not be reflected through your online account access until the following week. To ensure you don't overdraw your account during our conversion weekend, please track your card transactions manually.
Here is a helpful tool you can print to log your spending: Printable Ledger
At 10am on Friday, April 26, mobile deposits, external transfers, and Quick Pay will be unavailable.
Account access through these avenues will be temporarily unavailable starting Friday, April 26 around 4pm:
- Online & mobile apps
- CO-OP Shared Network
All branches will be closed on Saturday, April 27. Credit and debit cards will continue to work during this down time. ATMs will be available during this time, however, Partners 1st ATMs may see temporary interruptions.
Our Member Support Team will be available until 6pm on Friday, April 26, and from 9am to noon on Saturday, April 27 at 260.471.8336 or 800.728.8943 (toll free). They will be able to assist with your upgrade questions but won’t be able to process any transaction requests during this time.
All of this is to ensure we wrap up our system upgrade and be ready to serve you on Monday, April 29!
On Launch Day
Here is a preview of what will happen when we go live with the new system on Monday, April 29:
- Every member will have ONE member number. By consolidating all accounts, most members will see a comprehensive view of their credit union relationships.
- All checking account numbers will change to the MICR number. If there are multiple MICR numbers on an account, the “largest MICR number” will be the one used.
- The next time you are at the branch after the transition weekend, you will need to present your ID. At your first branch visit, your ID will be scanned into the system. This will replace your member number card. On future visits, if branch staff isn’t certain who is standing in front of them, they may request your ID to verify your information. Don’t take this personally, our branch staff see a lot of members in a day and just want to keep your accounts secure.
- You will see new branch equipment, like check scanners and signature pads. These upload information into our system automatically and improves the efficiency of our transactions.
- With the transition, account types will be eliminated. You will not see “S”, “I”, or “L” at the end of your account number on your online account access or statements anymore.
Transparency is important to us. During this journey, we will continuously release information here on various topics from member numbers to loans.
