Text & Emails from "Fraud Department"

We have had reports from members stating they received texts and emails from our "fraud department". These texts/emails fraudulently tell members that their card has been declined due to possible fraud charges. A text asks the member if they made a purchase for an amount. The member responds yes or no. If they respond no, a text says that the card has been blocked and a Partners 1st FCU representative will contact them. The scammer then contacts the member and asks for their card information.

If the member is contacted by email, they are instructed to call the number provided and the scammers ask the member for their card information.

Never respond to these types of messages! In a legitimate message to members, a merchant would be included. Also, legitimate messages would not provide the Partners 1st phone number; they would include numbers from our third party provider.
