Beware of Imposter Texts
Recently, it’s been reported that members are receiving scam text alerts posed as Partners 1st. These texts are not from us.
Scammers are sending fraud alerts for an attempted Zelle charge, asking members to verify whether the charge is or is not theirs. Once the member does this, the scammer responds with another text stating they will contact them via phone call. The incoming phone call the member receives is masked to look like Partners 1st’s phone number. This is the scammer phishing for information.
These text messages are sometimes very convincing, so please take caution and be aware of the following:
- We will NEVER ask for your card number or your account information. While we do text our members on a limited occasion, we have this information securely on file.
- If in doubt, do NOT:
- Reply to the text
- Accept calls from the text’s author
- Click on links or phone numbers in the text
- If you think you’ve received a scam, call our Member Support Team at 800-728-8943. Again, we will NOT ask for your account or card information.
Many financial institutions in our area are experiencing similar imposter texts and calls being sent to their members. Please be vigilant and remember we are always here to support you and your financial journey.
