Stay Alert: Reported Email Fraud
Recently, it’s been reported that members are receiving scam emails posed as Partners 1st. These emails are not from us.
Scammers are sending emails out to our members stating that someone at their financial institution has stolen their money and need to call them immediately. When the member calls the number listed in the email, they are instructed to get their money and send/give it to the imposter in the email. In addition, they are “spoofing” our number. This means the scammer is disguising their number to look like it’s legitimate and from Partners 1st.
These emails are sometimes very convincing, so please take caution and be aware of the following:
1. We will NEVER ask for your card number or your account information. We have it securely on file.
2. If in doubt, do NOT:
a. Reply to the email
b. Accept calls from the email’s author
c. Click on links or phone numbers in the email
3. If you think you’ve received a scam, call our Member Support Team at 800-728-8943. Again, we will NOT ask for your account or card information.
Many financial institutions in our area are experiencing similar imposter emails and calls being sent to their members. Please be vigilant and remember we are always here to support you and your financial journey.
