Taking A Look Back After 1 Year
Did you know it has been over one year since we launched our secondary site, itsaboutu.org? This website has been a long-time vision for Partners 1st to ensure all of our members and everyone in our communities have a FREE online educational tool where they can learn all the savings, spending, and borrowing opportunities they have.
We believe when people know more about financial basics like budgeting, purchasing a home or vehicle, and opening a savings certificate, they can do more with their money. At the heart of this website, we really wanted it to be all about U and making sure there were resources for every stage of life that we all encounter.
Since we have launched, the website has grown to include a weekly blog covering topics like:
- How To Save For Your Next Vacation
- 5 Things You Can Do To Improve Your Finances
- What Is A HELOC?
- And More!

The Nominating Committee is considering members who are willing to serve as volunteers for the Board of Directors, Associate Directors, or a committee. Any member who wishes to be considered should call or email VP of Human Resources Kelly Johns.
All respondents will be sent an informational packet that contains a description of duties and responsibilities and an application for nomination. Note: Meetings take place in Fort Wayne, IN, but there is an existing travel reimbursement policy in place with options to teleconference.
Nominations close at 5pm on October 11, 2024. Anyone who wishes to petition for nomination after the deadline has until November 29, 2024. All members who wish to become a candidate must collect 200 signatures. If a ballot process is required, the annual election of officers will be conducted by mail.

Congrats To These Scholarship Winners
Every year, Partners 1st awards up to $15,000 total in scholarships for qualified, higher-education seekers. We had a large pool of applicants apply this year for their chance for a cut of the prize. The committee made their selections based on academic achievement and financial need. Congratulations the recipients of the Charles M. Cook Scholarship!

On July 13 & 14, we are proud to once again be the title and water bottle sponsor for the Fort Wayne Museum of Art Chalk Walk in downtown Fort Wayne, IN! Chalk Walk’s goal is to draw the city’s most creative citizens together to contribute to the largest community art project in the region, attracting families, friends, and supporters of a vibrant cultural life in Fort Wayne. Our team will be onsite handing out water bottles and Partners 1st swag to artists and spectators alike, and this year, we’ll be taking over the Activity Tent from noon to 4pm. Come see us!
