Beyond The Transaction Member Newsletter - Winter 2024
Investing in U… Stay Up to Date
This year we will launch our new computer system, and everyone will finally see the upgrades firsthand. We are moving from an account-focused system to a person-centric system, so we can continue to focus on what matters: U.
Until we go live on April 29, you can learn about what changes to expect by going to our online informational web hub. Transparency is important to us, so as we verify details about our new system, we will post the benefits, features, and how it affects you. The following topics will be our primary focus and be updated whenever we have new information:
- Debit/Credit Cards
- Statements
- Member Numbers
- Branch Interactions
- Loans
- Business Services
- Mortgages
Our system upgrade integrates with everything we currently do and streamlines it. From new statements to instant digital issuance of debit cards, we will have a robust system that gives you benefits and features like never before. Learn More

Throughout the year, our staff can elect to donate $1 every week. This donation awards them the option to get to “dress down” and wear jeans on Fridays. This year, the staff donated over $10,000 to their charity of choice, The Dream Factory. The Dream Factory is a volunteer-driven, children’s wish-granting organization. By raising funds, these hard-working individuals can continue to grant dreams to children who have chronic illnesses or disorders, suffer from emotional and physical pain, or have life-threatening illnesses.

Your credit score is an important number to know and understand. A credit score tells lenders what your capacity is to pay back a loan. The score is based on a list of factors, including: every time you made a payment on time, credit utilization, length of your credit history, and account mix. The better your score, the better loans and interest rates you get. Learn more by visiting our blog at itsaboutu.org or clicking here.
